Toumaki (Fujimaki) Blue Steel

Designed and made in Japan by 6 skilled artisans, the Higonokami is an iconic and historical pocket knife. This is a traditionally wrapped Japanese fixed blade knife. Its wrapping, known as ‘Toumaki’ uses beige coloured rattan with a reddish rattan underlayer. The rattan has been lacquered for durability and gives an authentic feel.  
The reverse tanto blade is constructed with sharp high quality ‘Warikomi’ Blue Steel where all the steel layers from the hammered exterior to the blue steel core are visible.
